My Competition!

Well, I thought it was about time we had a new competition!  I was originally going to do a graphics competition but changed my mind and decided to incorporate every single means of interpretation possibly.. {You'll see what I mean once I explain the competition}

For this competition, I have two separate passages. Both from a book I've read and thoroughly enjoyed, though I won't say what the book is.


“I would like to tell you that it is beautiful here, that I am, and you will one day be, forever safe. But this heaven is not about safety just as, in its graciousness, it isn’t about gritty reality. We have fun. We do things that leave humans stumped and grateful....”



“Heaven is about flathead nails and the soft down of new leaves, wild roller coaster rides and escaped marbles that fall then hang then take you somewhere you could never have imagined in your small-heaven dreams.”

Now, you're probably wondering, what an earth does Anika want me to do with that?!?!?!? Well, quite simply, I want you to respond to it. You can choose to respond to it in any way possible. For example, you could make a graphic using the second passage or you could even choose to carry on writing from the first passage. Either way, I just want a piece of work that illustrates what you feel and understand from those two passages - something that might even tell me a little bit more about you. I'm completely open to any form of interpretation. I know this might sound a little complex so I'll happily answer any questions you may have. If you want it in simpler terms, I just want a graphic/ literature piece themed by the tone set in the two passages.

There's no word limits whatsoever; No limit to how many graphics, either.

Please PM all entries and follow all the forum rules, too.

I have read the book so if you decide to copy out the rest of the passage from the story, I will just ignore your entry. (:
