Question about the hunger games
Ok so you know how they all say that the arena is huge, it goes on and on for miles and miles and you can't reach the end of it. And well....... every year, the arena is different.
So if its like the biggest thing ever, How do they remake it? Do they tear it down and make a new one in a same place? and is it in a seperate place or is it in the capitol?
idk if anyone know's the answer to this but if you do, please tell me cuz i'm super confused.

idk exactly where it is, but yeah, they just rebuild it
it's in the future, too, so stuff is pretty advanced

Re: Question about the hunger games
They kept the arenas after each Games, because I remember reading that people liked to visit the arenas like they were tourist attractions, and they would reenact their favorite parts of the Games, and things like that. So there isn't one spot where they build them, they're probably all over the place (outside of the districts and outside of the Capitol).

Re: Question about the hunger games
Panem doesn't need to be that huge -- taking District 12 as an example, it doesn't look like each district is larger than an average city (population centers at least -- districts with farming, say, would take more space for farmland). So you're looking at a country that's only got 14 cities; not much land would be occupied. Add that to the fact that they fly out to the arena each time, it'd be simple enough to build a new arena each time in an unused area.
And yeah, it's mentioned in the books that the former arenas are treated like tourist destinations.

True, I didn't think of it that way.@MollyFlyer wrote:Panem doesn't need to be that huge -- taking District 12 as an example, it doesn't look like each district is larger than an average city (population centers at least -- districts with farming, say, would take more space for farmland). Also, they do reach the edge of the arena -- in book 2, the fact that they reach the force fields at the edge lets them cook nuts in the current. In the first book, the gamemakers deliberately 'heard' those who get too close to the edge away with traps, encouraging them to stay near the areas they're more likely to encounter others. While a few miles in diameter isn't small, it's not a lot of space in a geographical sense.
